Receivables Management Association International holds elections each year to approve a slate of officers, elect new Directors to open seats, and, if necessary, approve proposed amendments to RMAI Bylaws. In 2026, there are three (3) open Director seats on the 10-member Board: two (2) certified debt-buyer seats and one (1) certified law firm seat. RMAI-certified members will vote to fill the seats during the association’s annual election, with the option to vote by email starting in January 2026.

Emily Adkins
Security Credit Services, LLC
I am honored to submit my candidacy for the RMAI Board of Directors. With eight years of experience in the credit receivables industry and my current role as Vice President of Litigation at Security Credit Services LLC, I have developed a deep understanding of the operational, legal, and regulatory dynamics that shape our work. This experience has given me a clear perspective on the challenges facing our industry and the opportunities that arise when we prioritize compliance, innovation, and responsible leadership.
In my current role, I oversee a nationwide network of law firms and attorneys, ensuring that litigation activities meet the highest standards of compliance, efficiency, and performance. I design and refine litigation workflows, monitor key performance metrics, and implement best practices that align with business goals and evolving regulatory expectations. Prior to this, I managed a multistate law firm operating in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and South Carolina and also served as Director of Legal Operations and Human Resources. These experiences strengthened my ability to integrate legal strategy, operational priorities, and team leadership across diverse jurisdictions.
Driving innovation within legal operations has been a central focus of my work. I have championed the use of data analytics, reporting tools, and emerging technologies to create more transparent and predictable processes. These initiatives have enhanced decision-making, increased accountability, and produced more consistent outcomes. I am especially passionate about analyzing opposing counsel trends and developing strategies to address frivolous litigation, and I believe collaboration across industry partners is essential to tackling these challenges effectively.
My commitment to the industry extends beyond my daily responsibilities. I hold the CRCP designation and actively serve on both the Legislative Committee and the Bankruptcy Committee. These roles have broadened my understanding of the regulatory environment and reinforced the importance of unified advocacy and thoughtful governance.
RMAI’s mission and vision strongly resonate with me. I believe the organization plays a critical role in elevating standards, fostering collaboration, and shaping the future of our industry. Serving on the Board would allow me to contribute a compliance-focused, operational perspective and a commitment to ethical, forward-thinking leadership.
I would be honored to lend my experience, energy, and dedication to support RMAI’s continued growth and industry-wide impact. Thank you for your consideration.

Lee Brockett
Cascade365
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the RMAI Board of Directors. I have 22 years of C-level experience as a debt buyer, personally overseeing approximately 1k transactions for an aggregate face value of $47B. Prior to Cascade365, I founded Glass Mountain Capital and co-founded Applied Income Sciences. I have been an active member of RMAI (and its predecessor, the DBA) since 2003 and regularly contribute to the legislative fund.
I have witnessed a lot of industry changes over the years and believe that this perspective can help the RMAI, and its members, to better position themselves for the future. With Reg. F, digital, and AI, its an exciting time to be an ARM industry participant. As the market continues to mature, we need to ensure that there is a place for compliant, sophisticated RMAI members, both small and large companies alike.
If elected, I will work diligently to advance the RMAI’s mission and to provide value and opportunity to RMAI members.

Certified Law Firm (Incumbent)
Todd Gurstel
Gurstel Law Firm
It seems that the last two years have gone by so fast since I was originally elected to serve as the Certified Law Firm Member on the Receivables Management Association. With pleasure I am seeking the opportunity to serve another term for the next two years. While much has been achieved over the past two years, there is much so much opportunity ahead. In addition to being an engaged member on the board, I was blessed to serve as co-chair of the membership committee, educational committee, ethics committee, legal affairs committee as well as the bankruptcy working group. In these capacities, I have been instrumental in driving a fresh look from the viewpoint of a law firm. In my capacity as co-chair in the membership helped drive an increase in membership of affiliate law firms who see the value of membership. My driving force, however, is to dramatically enhance membership for certified law firms. Through our partnership with Certified Debt Buyers, I expect the number to increase substantially over the next two years as this is my goal to demonstrate law firms’ visibility as well as reputational stature through certification. The result will enhance credibility for the entire Association. Through my engagement with the education committee, I was able to expand opportunities for law firms to present as well as focus on critical legal issues involving the use of AI as well as the use of digital applications. As co-chair of legal affairs this past year, I was able to accelerate the first ever legal symposium which is scheduled for May of next year bringing together lawyers, clients and industry leaders to discuss imminent pending legal issues in an open forum. Finally, while advocating for bylaw reforms, our board was able to help open the door for a person holding the Certified Law Firm seat, the ability to become an officer of the Association.
However, my work is not done. I feel like I have just gotten started. It is my further objective to triple the size of our Certified Law Firm membership over the next two years through active direct engagement with firms to become much more involved in the Association other than using it as a networking vehicle. This can be done be establishing a yearly legal symposium, direct educational presentation opportunities while generating CLE credits and advocating for leadership by law firms within the Association’s committees.
With all the technological innovations as well as growth opportunities in front of us, I am excited about our Association’s future and look forward with your support to continue my participation on the Board for the next two years. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
