Tampa, FL – Like all of you, the team members at the Law Offices of Daniel C. Consuegra have experienced first-hand how difficult and trying this year has been. At the firm we have experienced loss and have suffered, also aware that there are those who have lost and suffered even more. Some would say that the best way to receive blessings is to bless others. Another way to put it is that the best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer someone else up. At Consuegra Law we have had to cut back but to raise our spirits and divert attention away from ourselves we began to think of others rather than ourselves. Of course, Metropolitan Ministries immediately came to mind.
Here in Tampa, we are so proud of Metropolitan Ministries. The ministry is a grassroots, donor and volunteer-fueled community nonprofit providing practical solutions for poor and homeless families and individuals throughout Tampa Bay. Metropolitan Ministries works to alleviate suffering and promote dignity, so more individuals and families in Tampa Bay can live self-sufficient fulfilling lives. Metropolitan Ministries offers a hand up not a handout.
Metropolitan Ministries was formed in 1972 when 13 Tampa area churches – representing Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Baptists and Catholic denominations – came together to create a single organization that would increase efficiency, eliminate duplication of services, and meet the growing needs of the homeless. For those of us who live in Tampa the presence of Metropolitan Ministries is felt every day. We know that all of those who are hungry, homeless, and suffer are able to find a warm meal, a roof, a blanket, love and encouragement from the staff and volunteers of Metropolitan Ministries. Consuegra Law has proudly supported Metropolitan Ministries over the years. Our schools, civic organization and individuals organize themselves to volunteer giving their time and talent to the many programs at the ministry.

When we made the announcement at the firm that we were doing the drive, we never expected the level of generosity that would follow.
