Earlier today, President Trump fired Director Chopra from the CFPB. It’s been reported that the White House delivered the news via an email.
There has been speculation about whether Director Chopra would remain in his position following President Trump’s inauguration, but that uncertainty ends today. For several months, various candidates have been considered to replace Director Chopra under the Trump administration, but no successor has been named yet.
RMAI is closely monitoring this transition and will provide updates as they become available.
