Rausch, Sturm, Israel, Enerson & Hornik, LLC (RSIEH), a leading retail collection firm with offices in 14 states, recently submitted a donation check totaling $10,000 to the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee. The Hunger Task Force is Wisconsin’s premier anti-hunger organization and provides food distribution to a network of community programs as well as providing anti-hunger advocacy.
RSIEH partnered with one of their clients, Equable Ascent Financial, LLC (EAF), to create a unique way to incentivize employees to give.
“EAF came to us with the idea of allowing employees to wear casual attire in exchange for a donation to a local charity of our choice. EAF agreed to match any employee’s contribution during this program. We thought this was such a great idea that the firm agreed to match the employee’s contribution as well,” said Bill Sturm, CEO of RSIEH. “The feedback was overwhelming, with over 90 employees participating.”
EAF is a leader in the distressed consumer and commercial debt industry, specializing in purchasing and managing consumer and commercial loans and accounts receivable.
In addition to the fundraising efforts, employees from RSIEH also volunteered at a recent food sorting event held at the Hunger Task Force.
“The volunteer experience really allowed our employees to become engaged in a meaningful way with the Hunger Task Force,” said Sturm. “It allowed all of us to see, first hand, the needs of our community and the impact that both financial and volunteer resources can have in the fight against hunger.”
RSIEH plans to continue its involvement with the Hunger Task Force and other charitable organizations. “We currently are sponsoring a Blood Drive and a toy donation campaign in addition to future food sorting events at the Hunger Task Force,” said Sturm.
For more than 30 years, RSIEH has provided banks, auto lenders, credit unions, debt purchasers and medial/professional service providers with support in accounts receivable management.
