The key to making an event like the Executive Summit successful is teamwork and collaboration.
The RMAI staff works closely with committee members to create all the details and then Event and Sales Development Manager Sylvia Done implements the committees’ visions.
“It is a team effort, we are a small staff, and everyone takes on different roles,” she said.
The various committees and Board Members solidify everything from the content and agendas of the education sessions with the Director of Certification and Education Shannon Parod to the advertising and outreach with Communication Manager Cheryl Nelson and Deputy Director Penny Cunha.
After months of planning, the Executive Summit becomes one of RMAI members favorite events of the year.
The 2022 Executive Summit was held in Eklhart Lake, WI at the Osthoff Resort and the beautiful scenery was the perfect backdrop for networking with top-level executives.
“I like the details and watching them all come together,” said Sylvia. “I want the attendees to walk away thinking that it was money well spent, and that they have met and built relationships with new colleagues and had an overall positive experience.”
Another interesting fact about Executive Summit is it looks to the incoming Board President for a region that the event should be hosted, and Executive Director Jan Stieger does the leg work securing the location.
Overall, Sylvia says that RMAI really cares about their members experience and hopes that they continue to come back and attend events as they can.
“I want them to feel like the quality of education is top notch, the information was current and relevant and that they are walking away with connections and new friends,” she said.
