Prepare for the Foreseeable: Before, During, and After a Breach

Any service provider in the Revenue Cycle Management vertical, and especially debt collection agencies, are now a top target for malicious actors and some of 2025’s largest breaches are medical debt collections companies.  Breaches are now considered inevitable and a foreseeable event, meaning you need to be prepared for a security incident and be able to prove it or you will expose yourself to a high level of legal and regulatory risk, especially in the event of a data breach. Our panel will talk about all the things that you need to have in place before an incident, what you need to be ready for during an incident, and what you need to execute after an incident has been concluded.  Preparation is the key to resiliency and minimizing the impact of a foreseeable event such as a data breach.

Consent Management Is Taking Over and There’s No Sign of It Stopping | Sponsored by Prodigal

Consent management has become one of the most costly, challenging and confusing compliance requirements plaguing both large and small debt buyers, collection agencies and collection law firms; and the management of consent revocation is fast becoming a close second. Federal laws, state laws and almost every Federal or state regulation are mired with new consent requirements ranging from privacy acknowledgements, online terms and conditions, email and text communications to the FCC’s all new requirement to manage and track the revocation of consent.

This session is designed to help debt buyers, collection agency executives, owners, compliance officers manage the complex maze of consent and revocation of consent requirements associated with any form of online or digital collection processes. So whether you already use or plan to use email, text, auto dialer, predictive dialer, ATDS and/or ADAD technology to collect debt, this session is a must-attend.

The world of consent and revocation management is evolving. This panel will unpack future consent and consent revocation requirements and the operational considerations related to the technology as well as the potential risks and exposures you may face in the next year.

Fireside Chat on State Attorney General Actions and Industry Readiness

As federal enforcement activity from agencies like the CFPB and FTC slows, state attorneys general will step in to fill the gap—taking a more active and aggressive role in consumer protection oversight. This session will explore how state AG investigations and litigation differ from federal actions, and what that means for companies navigating varying standards, expectations, and remedies. Speakers will offer practical insights on executive and operations level preparation, navigating divergent standards, responding to state subpoenas, and preparing for litigation in state court. The discussion will highlight common pitfalls companies face in AG matters and offer guidance on avoiding missteps.
