The Federal Trade Commission has asked DBA International to encourage our members close to the Dallas area to attend their next Debt Collection Dialogue in Dallas, TX on September 29, 2015. The FTC’s first Debt Collection Dialogue in June drew nearly 200 participants, most of them collection industry members.
At the Dallas event, representatives from the FTC and other federal and state enforcement agencies will attend, as well as debt collection industry leaders and professionals – including DBA International who will participate on the panel. The discussion will center around enforcement actions, consumer complaints, compliance issues, and industry best practices. Agency staff will also answer questions, including how regulatory enforcement actions are investigated and pursued.
