BillingTree is continuing its tradition of contributing to the annual holiday campaign Season for Sharing by The Arizona Republic and KPNX-TV in Phoenix to raise awareness and dollars for non-profit organizations that help people in need in Arizona.

BillingTree, a DBA International affiliate member company in Phoenix, has committed to part of the $500,000 match amount pledged by leading Arizona-based businesses and charitable trusts, according to a news release.

The company has also recently completed other philanthropic efforts. Employees volunteered helping staff and animals at the Phoenix zoon and the company donated $40 per hour of the time they spent there to the zoon. Employees also volunteered throughout the year to provide support at St. Mary’s Food Bank, Future For Kids, Feed My Starving Children, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and other organizations. Other significant goodwill recipients in 2015 included Florence Crittenton’s Teaming Up For Girls Luncheon and the Helping Hands for Freedom Golf Classic.

“It’s wonderful to share goodwill and continue our work with so many local charities through our employee’s time, event sponsorship and other donations,” said BillingTree CEO Edgars Sturans. “2015 saw over 2,000 man-hours donated by our dedicated staff, and another year where a percentage of annual profit was given back to the local community. Since its foundation, goodwill and philanthropy have always been key elements in the BillingTree company ethos and this year was no exception.”

In 2015 BillingTree employees continued the long-standing company volunteering policy, supplying three paid office-hours per month per staff member for personal causes resulting in more than 2,000 hours of volunteer time this year.

BillingTree also recently placed seventh out of 25 for the best places to work (small business category) in Arizona, as part of the Phoenix Business Journal “Best Places to Work Program 2015.” The recognition is primarily attributed to BillingTree employee’s ratings of the company, as well as their commitment to giving back to the community.
