  • Establishing top-down governance from the Board of Director to the Collection Floor
  • Understanding personal liability
  • Investing in compliance and valuing its impact on your bottom line
  • Setting expectations to drive compliance

Measuring Up to the CFPB’s Standards: The RMAI DEI Recommended Guidelines

The CFPB under the Dodd Frank Act is charged with developing standards for assessing diversity and inclusion at the financial entities the Bureau regulates. To further that effort, CFPB released a report in January of this year to provide information about diversity and inclusion initiatives that their peers are undertaking and the various options available to entities of different sizes.  In response, RMAI’s Diversity Equity Inclusion Task Force put together a Benchmark Report with concrete recommendations and clear steps for member companies of all sizes and all budgets.  Join a DEI expert and members of the Task Force for a discussion on program standards, metrics, and key results.  How does your business measure up?

State & Federal Legislative & Regulatory Update

The 2022-midterm elections are poised to shift the landscape of both political parties as well as control in several legislatures at the state and national level. Given the amount of political uncertainty, legislators have pushed active agendas in the attempt to ensure passage of key consumer protection laws while they are confident to have the ability to effect change. Significant legislative and regulatory proposals have or could be adopted prior to the year’s end in AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, MA, and NY. Come for an in-depth policy discussion on the trends we have seen, what challenges we anticipate, and how the midterm elections could affect the industry.
